An instructor led online program, also known as the Outpatient Mentee Program. This program provides students the opportunity to learn both hospital and physician coding. Ideal candidates are students who have completed the OS2U Risk Adjustment Mentee program, registered coders, and coders who hold their CRC only. It was designed to prepare risk adjustment coders in the discipline of procedural coding in the physician and hospital setting in an attempt to earn the CPC and/or COC, as well as, CDEO certifications. This is the second phase of OS2U’s Fundamental program designed to improve the marketability and employability of its students by providing training which earns certification and experience employees are looking for. It is suggested that coders complete the fundamental program, Intro to Risk Adjustment to join the Intro to Outpatient program. Training duration is 27 weeks prior to paid apprenticeship with OS2 Healthcare Solutions.
Monica has been coding since 2017, retiring from more than 30 years in education policy. She is the OS2 Training Manager and a Risk Adjustment Instructor. She has been coding with OS2 since 2018. Monica enjoys training and mentoring others.

This is a 12-week, instructor led course covering the learn principles of physician outpatient medical coding utilizing the CPT®, ICD-10- CM and HCPCS Level II code set. This course is recommended for anyone who is preparing for a career in medical coding for a physician’s office. For COC, this course covers the principles of facility coding for hospital and ambulatory surgery center settings.
This is a 10-week, instructor-led online course using Practicode as a tool to teach and test medical coding proficiency
A 5-week online, instructor-led, certification exam prep to prepare students to sit for the CPC.
A 4-week online, instructor-led, certification exam prep to prepare students to sit for the CDEO.
A 10-week online, simulated auditing and clinical documentation improvement environment with our leadership team to prepare novice coders the day to day tasks associated with performing audits and documentation review for physician education roles.

The instructor does a great job of making complex course material interesting and comprehensible for students. The 150 chart requirement along with the timed coding exercises implemented in the final weeks of the course were very helpful in creating real-world scenarios for learning purposes.

OS2 has been a phenomenal blessing in my life. I began with an invitation to join their Preseason Risk Adjustment Training in the Spring of 2018. I have been employed with them as a remote HCC/CCC coder since shortly after that, & have loved it! Recently, I was able to participate in their CRC & COC Bootcamps. I took, & passed, my CRC credentialing exam on the first attempt, thanks to the Bootcamp, excellent instructors, mentors, & fellow coders at OS2, who are all so supportive of each other. The instructor was more than willing to spend as much time as needed to answer questions. He explained them in easy to understand language and went above and beyond, taking extra unplanned time on a weekend to provide a quick tutorial on combo coding diabetes and hypertension. What I learned in preseason more than prepared me to take the CRC certification exam.
